OOC: Shaken, Not Stirred III

The thing with the suppressive fire is that I wouldn't be able to move out of the kill zone. Hey, how long is the corridor? One option would be for Gavin to charge hanna and knock her down the stairs, and then get the hell out while they're out of her fire.
Dieter 2002-08-07 04:43:42
The distance from the steel door to Hannah is roughly 50ft. Gavin could do a charge and get to Hanna this turn.
Dieter 2002-08-07 05:00:57
We'll go with Plan B....Gavin charges and Harry attempts to beat feet in the process....Yeah, it's gonna get pretty ugly this turn.
Dieter 2002-08-07 05:10:37
New round...and wow, no one actually got shot or shot at.
threadbare 2002-08-07 09:41:26
Well, that worked out pretty nicely. What now? we've got the exits (that we know of) and their car covered. They're fortified all to hell with automatic weapons. Does anyone have grenades?
Gatac 2002-08-07 15:06:01
*slaps forehead* Remind me to get some flashbangs for the next time we assault a fortified location.

So, what's the next move? Combat has effectively ended for now, so I can just move to the next scene if everyone is OK with that.
Gatac 2002-08-07 15:27:24
While I would personally advocate that we mow down Decker and Hanna for fucking with us, I'd have to say that Jessica would be all for a tactical retreat.

New Initiative...

Gavin :22
Harry: 18
Artis: 18
Decker/Hannah: 17
Jess: 14
Dieter 2002-08-07 18:20:03
The distance to the gate is 40 ft and another 40ft to the Volga.

Decker has half-cover from the SUV door.
Dieter 2002-08-07 20:34:45
OK, they're not content to part ways amiably.

I figure, either:

1) keep to the wall for cover, the two poorest shots (probably me and Jess) keep Hanna and Mike suppressed while Harry and Gavin try to wear them out. We might have a chance as long as we can keep that -4 penalty on them.

2) we send people back into the building and try to flank them from the hatch (good Move Silently needed, so me, and then probably Harry because he knows where the hatch is)...

3) we all go back to the building and let them leave, if that is their intention.

I think that plan #1 has the greatest chance of seriously injuring more than one of us. Plan #2 would either work well or be totally thwarted, and plan #3 might be safest but obviously we would have no chance of defeating them.

Sorry, posted this in IC at first.

Doing the "inspiration" check for the group, you notice that both Decker and Hannah are very ambulatory despite the dozens of rounds fired at them. They're wearing vests with plates and kevlar helmets to boot.

All in all, the best course of action is to head back inside and let them get away. You'll notice that they are not on the offensive, but on the defensive.

*Disclaimer*

Of course, this may be GM talking out his ass and attempting to put the players into even more peril.
Gatac 2002-08-07 21:02:40
I know that we usually act on consent as if our chars were telepathic, but I don't think Jess is currently in the mood for retreat. Supressive fire at Hannah - pin her down so someone else can shoot her before she takes cover.

If any of the rounds should accidently hit, even better. I'll add an action die to a damage roll, should a hit be made.

Gatac, prays for lucky dice...
Dieter 2002-08-07 21:04:51
Alrighty then...Jess is (as they say), praying and spraying. :)
Dieter 2002-08-07 21:29:54
I'll delay until someone puts some suppressive fire on a target, then autofire. I'll drop an action die into the attack roll, which my Soldier ability doubles! w00t!

Ahem, have to take care of business, professionally speaking.
Dieter 2002-08-07 21:38:34
Sorry IP, even your action dice couldn't hit Hanna this turn. Between her tumble roll (Natural 20) and Decker's cover fire she had an effective +11 to her Defense that round.
